School Bus
Hailey and Colby LOVE to color. I was really impressed with one of Hailey's recent drawings. Out of the blue she came and gave me this drawing. I love that she thought of it herself and had no help. Thought I would share this cute picture with you.
HAILEY'S 4TH BIRTHDAY
Sorry, I'm a little behind in blogging. Hailey turned 4 on the 14th. We had a little party for her the Saturday before her birthday. It was a big hit. Having 17 kids under the age of five for an 1 1/2 hrs. may have been crazy on my part...no really it was wonderful. It went off without a hitch. Of course the party had to be a princess party. The kids decorated crowns, played pin the heart on the crown and hit a pinata. At Hailey's request I made her a princess castle cake. It was a labor of love, it took me forever and it looked so amateur. Thankfully, it's not too hard to impress four year olds. Hailey looks forward to her birthday ALL year long. She is such a great girl. She is unbelievably perceptive and smart. She has a incredible heart and a contagious laugh. She loves to play and she is a great big sister. We are so blessed to have her in our family. It's hard to believe that it has been four years since she came into this world. She has been through so much and I am so grateful for her spunky/fiesty personality, it helped her survive her early months. :) Happy 4th Birthday Hailey Bird!
And ONCE AGAIN, my pictures are horizontal instead of vertical, but today has been a tough day and so I am just not going to worry about it, sorry!

Hailey's Daddy-Daughter Date
So, I'm a little behind in blogging the latest events. Doug and Hailey went to see Disney Princesses on Ice on the 15th. As many of you know, Hailey is obsessed with princesses. This was a dream come true to her. The night was also very special because they doubled with Doug's brother Wayne, and his daughter Maura (who also adores princesses). They started the night off with dinner at Firehouse Pizzeria. I guess the girls were chanting "princesses on ice, princesses on ice" throughout the parking lot on the way into the ESA. Hailey came home with a beautiful Ariel wand. She had a wonderful time.

Colby's Helmet
Colby and Hailey love riding their trikes and scooter in the basement and now that it is getting warmer they are dying to ride them outside. I figured it was probably time to get Colby a little helmet. I couldn't find any that were smaller that for 3+, but this one looked the smallest. He wore it throughout the store until we bought it. I thought these pics of him were cute. Please disregard the messy face.

Our Little Cross-Fitters
Last week, we ended up working out in the evenings instead of in the mornings. At night, we have extra participants. It's so fun to watch them when they're not aware we're watching them. Hailey and Colby were trying really hard to do walking lunges and squats. Just wanted to share some pictures of their hard workout. :)
P.S. Tonight during our workout, Colby was my "helper." I would be in the middle of sit-ups and all of the sudden he would come and sit on my stomach and so we would do sit-ups together. Also, when I was doing push-ups he would either come and jump on my back (he must think he needs a tougher mom) or he would grab my head with his hands and try to bring it up. (Either he wants me to have better form or to stop working out... :)

Primary Songs

Hailey started sunbeams this year. A few weeks ago when I went to drop her off, she told me that she didn't know all the words to the songs they sing in sharing time. She has several of the primary songs memorized. I decided to get the primary songbook with words and music on cd so she could learn some of the other songs while we drive. She loves listening to "I am a Child of God" over and over again. Colby has started humming (his own version of humming, more like "ah ah ah some mm mm's and so ohs to the tune of the song) "I am a Child of God" as soon as we get in the truck. I think it's so cute. Today, "Reverently, Quietly" was playing for the first time. After hearing the song just one time, Colby started humming it perfectly. He kept at it during all of our errands. It was so cute. I am excited that both of my kids seem to be inclined musically. I am so glad they didn't inherit my complete lack of musical ability. :)
