RAGNAR RELAY

I am so behind in posting. I am going to try and get caught up in the next week or so. About a month or so ago Doug and some family and friends participated in the Wasatch Back (Ragnar Relay). I was supposed to run too, but my knees haven't been cooperating lately and I got the no go from my physical therapist about 2 1/2 weeks before the race. Thanks Buffy, for stepping up and running my legs with such short notice! :) I was really bummed to not be able to run. But, I went along for the trip as the driver. It was a blast! Not much sleep, and the little sleep that was had was on a wrestling mat of a high school gym floor. Our team did awesome! We took third place in our division, yeah Bronze Gods!! Way to go Ship's Wrecks!

5 years!!

I am SO behind in blogging. At some point I hope to catch up. I just got back from girl's camp. I was the camp director this year. It was a lot of work, but TONS of fun. I really love those girls. Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary!! Doug just got called to be with the varsity scouts and they had a overnighter tonight. So, I got home at 12:30 and he left at 3:00 for his trip. We will have to celebrate a little later. :)

I would like Doug to know how much I love him. He is the most amazing man. He is such an incredible father. The kids absolutely adore him. I could not ask for a better father for my children. He is my best friend, this has been true for many more years than just the five we have been married. I love that we know each other so well. I love the way he supports me in everything I do. I love the way he looks at me. I love how we can just laugh and tease each other. We have so much fun together. I love that he is a worthy priesthood holder. That has helped SO much in the past few weeks. I love that we enjoy the same things, it is so fun to go camping, hiking and play soccer together. I'm thankful for his patience and understanding. He has been my rock during this incredibly difficult time. I love talking to him. I can't wait for him to get home everyday. Doug, I love you so much and I am so happy to be your wife. I can't believe it's been five years!! You're the best.

My Mom

My mom passed away on June 10, 2008. We will be holding a funeral for her on Monday June, 16th at noon. It will be held at the Farmington South Stake Center. 695 South 200 East, Farmington. Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. I will miss her forever.

Hailey's Preschool Graduation

I'm a little behind in blogging (Our house has been full of sickies this last week). Hailey graduated from preschool last week. She loved preschool and learned a lot. Here are a few pictures from it.

Reunions

Last week I was able to get together with some friends that I have not seen in a long time. Heidi (Schow) Longfellow and Heather (Schow) Jensen and I met at Barnes Park. It was so fun to see them and their kids. We used to play so much growing up. I miss seeing them. Heather lives in Canada and so it was great to see her while she was in town. I love those girls. I also had the opportunity to hang out with Amy (Terry) Anderson. She lives in Washington right now. It was so fun to see her and her kids. We can't wait for them to move back. I love getting together with old friends. :)

Girls Night OUT

So, this last weekend we went on a wonderful GIRLS NIGHT OUT. We decided to make it a tradition that every year on Mother's Day weekend, we take off with the girls Friday through Saturday. We stayed in Park City in a honeymoon suite...shout out to Paula (Beka's mom) for hooking us up. It was awesome! We had our own hot tub in our room. We played, ate, watched a movie, talked and talked and talked, slept very little, shopped and then we ended our trip perfectly; we met our husbands Saturday night in Sandy and went to dinner. After dinner, we went miniature golfing and had ice cream afterwards. I am so grateful to have such amazing friends in my life. We missed all of you who couldn't make it. Thanks for a great and very needed trip! :) A funny note, Hailey asked Doug where I was, and Doug responded "Mom's at a hotel." I don't think Hay knows what a hotel is and so she proceeded to tell my brother and his wife that I was at "show-n-tell" city. Man, I love her!

Children's Musuem

Okay, so I have been horrible at blogging lately. I am going to try and be better. A couple of weeks ago we went to the Children's Museum at Gateway. It was our first time there. The kids LOVED it!! We met Katie, Dave, Lincoln, Scout and Anna. I was really impressed with the museum. We ended up getting six month passes and so we will be back very soon!
