We found out today that our 16 year old nephew Cameron has Ewing Sarcoma (bone cancer). It's in his fibula and they think it may have spread. He starts Chemo in the next week or so. We are totally devastated, but have high hopes. He is such an incredible kid. He and Doug are so much alike. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Thank you.

Ok, so this is a really small world. I found this blog through my daughter who is a friend of Mel's. My youngest daughter is a friend of Cam's. They go to Bountiful High together and he has spent a Friday night or two hanging out at our house. We are devastated as well and hope the best for him and your family. Our prayers are definately with you all.
Amy, he starts Chemo tomorrow morning. Hopefully it won't be too hard on him. I'll let you know.
I'm sorry to hear that, Squeaky. My Bro-in-law found the same cancer in his femur December 2006 (18 months ago) and he completed a triathlon last saturday. We'll hope for a miracle for your nephew too :)
