Bed "Spray"
So, after three weeks of living here, we finally got Hailey's bed put together! We had her mattress on the floor at first. It took about one night for her to figure out that the furnace/heating system in this house is VERY loud and she has spent almost every night tucked in between me and Doug. She finally decided that she was no longer scared of the heater and was ready to move back to her room. As an added incentive to her sleeping in her own bed, my mom offered to buy her a new bedspread. We were on our way to the store and Hailey said, "Grandma, are you going to get me a bed spray?" I love the little phrases she comes up with. It's so fun to hear her experiment with tenses, especially on words that don't need to be changed. :) So we got her all set up and put her to bed. Of course she told me she wasn't tired yet (she would stay up until 11:30 or 12 if I let her, and I have even caught her up around that time after we've already gone to sleep). I told her to stay in her room and had Doug check on her around 9:15 (I had to bold that because its absolutely unheard of for Hailey). He was scared at first because he couldn't find her. He then found her sleeping on a toddler mattress under her daybed.

That is too cute. I can't believe that she slept under her bed. I love the little things that they say.
That is funny. Mike still teases me that I didn't know that hub caps were called hub caps and not hub calfs until I was 25! In my defense if you say it really fast it sounds like calfs. When I learned it was caps I was amazed at how much more sense it made!
Maybe she just likes confined spaces! That is really funny!
I totally understand the noise thing. My kids have problems with loud house sounds as well. When we moved to our place in Boston, the furnace did this BOOM..BOOM thing everytime it turned off. It took us a while to get used to. And you know how upset Kade gets at even the mention of a smoke alarm. I had to sleep on the floor in his room just so he would sleep one night after they kept going off. And for almost a month after that, I'd find him asleep with his fingers in his ears.
Oh, the terrible things we put our kids through!
I love it. They never do what you want them to do!
Tell Hailey sorry we kifed her matress... congrats on the bed construction! I love girl stuff= it is so much cuter than boys!
I thought you were going to say that you had to spray the bed for BUGS or something. .. .Phewph. Good deal. She looks like she loves it.
